Dolly Parton stopped on the red carpet at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Los Angeles over the weekend (11/5) and congratulated Taylor Swift on her recent success.

When asked by Access Hollywood about Taylor's recent success when she became the first artist to have the Top 10 songs on the Billboard 100 chart, Dolly said, "I saw that on the news, and I think that is sensational, and congratulations to her."

She added, "I think she's spectacular, great writer, and I love how she presents herself; she's always been such a pro, and I've admired her all these years."

In the same short interview, Parton also gave details as to some of the rock stars on her upcoming rock album project, revealing, "I did an Elton John song, and I did 'Open Arms,' I actually got Steve Perry, [he's] gonna be singing with me on that, Steven Tyler [too], I'm hoping. I'm gonna just ask all the girls and the guys to sing with me."

The reporter then asked Dolly if she had asked each artist on the phone herself or if she had someone else notify them. She said, "I send a message myself 'cause I figure they don't need to get that through somebody else." She added, "I'm excited to do it; I really am. I think it's gonna be a good album."

As we wrote about this past weekend, the night of her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction, Pink, along with Brandi Carlile, paid tribute to Dolly by performing "Coat of Many Colors," followed by Sheryl Crow and the Zac Brown Band performing "9 To 5." She was also joined by Rob Halford of Judas Priest, Brandi Carlile, Pink, Pat Benatar, Annie Lennox, and Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon for "Jolene."

You can watch an edited version of the induction ceremony on HBO and HBO Max on Saturday, November 19th, at 8 pm ET.
