Officials in India say a man went to a hospital complaining of “bloating, stomach pain, and vomiting.” A quick x-ray and endoscopy revealed what the problem was.

Doctors were shocked to find he had swallowed a ton of coins.  An X-ray revealed that the man had 187 coins in his stomach.

It took two hours under the knife to clear his gut. Why he swallowed the coins is a mystery, but the man does suffer from schizophrenia.
