LOS ANGELES, CA - APRIL 11: Justin Combs attends French Montana's boohooMAN Party at Poppy on April 11, 2018 in Los Angeles, California.

Justin Combs was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence on Sunday (June 4) around 8 am, according to TMZ. Police claim they smelled alcohol in his vehicle during a routine traffic stop in the Beverly Hills area. The 29-year-old then took various sobriety tests, which LAPD says he failed.

“Officers conducted a traffic stop, and they observed the driver possibly under the influence of unknown alcohol or drugs,” one officer from the LAPD stated, per HotNewHipHop. He went on to claim, “The investigation revealed that he was under the influence.”

He was booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge and his bond was set at $5,000. No word on whether he’s still in custody or not.

Justin is Diddy’s first kid, which he had with Misa Hylton.

As for the elder Combs, Diddy recently made headlines with his alcohol company Combs Wine and Spirits. Diddy has filed a lawsuit on behalf of his DeLeon tequila and Ciroc vodka brands. He is citing racism by Diageo North America Inc which is in charge of distributing his products. The lawsuit filed by the Bad Boy Records founder accuses Diageo of being dishonest about their diversity efforts.

“Diageo has typecasted Ciroc and DeLeon, apparently deciding they are ‘Black brands’ that should be targeted only to ‘urban’ consumers,” Diddy’s legal team claims per HotNewHipHop.

Per Black Enterprise, on Diageo’s legal paperwork, a company executive acknowledged the company’s racist tendencies by saying “race was part of the reason Diageo limited the neighborhoods where the Combs brands were distributed.”

“In a business where production, distribution, and sales are the pillars of success,” Diageo and its leaders ” have put their feet on the neck of Mr. Combs’ brands” by starving them of resources, the suit states. “Contracts matter more than press releases.”

Combs Wine and Spirits also claimed that they would be pursuing a separate lawsuit against Diageo. They will seek “billions of dollars in damages due to Diageo’s neglect and breaches.”
