Chris Hemsworth Reveals He Is A Massive Ed Sheeran Fan
Chris Hemsworth isn’t shy to admit that he’s a “super fan” of Ed Sheeran’s, attending three of his concerts recently. The Thor actor took to Instagram to share a video with the “Eyes Closed” singer. Also spotted in the video were Matt Damon and Gordon Ramsay, which seems like an unlikely trio of men attending the singer-songwriter’s concert.
From Stalker To Fan
In his latest post, Hemsworth, 39, writes: “Saw Ed Sheeran for the 3rd time this year. Some say I’m a super fan, others say I’m a borderline stalker… mostly Ed says that actually, but hey I’m just a really supportive mate.” Sheeran, 32, also shared some flicks from the concert alongside Ramsay, Hemsworth, and Damon. Obviously the shortest amongst the group, he joked in his Instagram post: “I’m much taller in real life, honest.” Hemsworth also congratulated Sheeran on “breaking stadium records once again, champ!” Sheeran’s concert drew 89,106 fans to his show at New Jersey’s Metlife Stadium.
Taking their bromance to the next level, Sheeran posted a photo with Hemsworth in a solo Instagram post today. “My new lover @chrishemsworth has an incredible new movie called Extraction 2,” Sheeran captioned the post. “watched it last night and needed a few beers to calm down from the action bada–ness of it. If you love action, stunts and explosions you’re in for a bloody treat.”

While attending the New York premiere yesterday (June 12) of his newest action movie, Extraction 2, Hemsworth told ET about his latest concert outing of Sheeran in New Jersey over the weekend. “I was gonna blame it on my kids and say my kids wanted me to come, but they’re not even here,” Hemsworth said with a laugh. “I’m a fan. I saw him twice back home ’cause he played in Australia, and then we flew into New York yesterday. I’d like to say it was for this premiere, but it was for Ed Sheeran,” Hemsworth admitted. He adds that at this point, he feels he should be president of the singer’s fan club.
Hemsworth also shared his excitement for the sequel to his 2020 action film, Extraction. He stars as Tyler Rake, a black market mercenary with a sense of honor. Extraction 2 drops on Netflix this Friday, June 16. Watch the trailer below:
