A 63-year-old United Airlines pilot is facing charges after taking an AXE to a wooden parking arm at an employee lot at the Denver airport this month.

The pilot, identified as, Kenneth Henderson Jones, armed with a full-sized ax chops at the parking arm 23 times until he knocked the parking arm off the base. After that, an airport employee that saw the incident approached Jones to take away the axe.  There is a small scuffle and another airport employee joins to help.

They get Jones to give up the axe before he gets arrested.

According to this report, police say that Jones told them “he just hit his breaking point.” Adams County authorities have charged Jones with misdemeanor criminal mischief. His actions caused an estimated $700 worth of damage.
