Woman Dies From ‘Genital Rupture’ After Falling Off Jet Ski

You've probably been warned Jet Skis can be dangerous. However, you probably didn't imagine this happening. A woman was reportedly killed after experiencing a 'genital rupture' when she fell off a fast moving Jet Ski.

According to Daily Mail, the fall led to severe wounds which she passed away from the following day.

Elena Spiryakova, from Russia, was rushed to the hospital after the horrific fall but doctors were unable to save her life. Now, her husband, Oleg, is facing criminal charges for 'causing death by negligence,' per Daily Mail.

According to reports, the speed and acceleration of the Jet Ski caused Elena to be hit in the genitals by a 'water hammer,' Russian news outlet Baza reports.

Daily Mail says Elena was riding on the back of the Jet Ski Oleg was driving on a river that flows into the Volga River in Samara.

According to Daily Mail, the report stated, "After another turn, the woman could not stay on the jet ski and fell into the water, and at that moment her husband 'hit the gas.'"

That's when she suffered what's described as a 'hydraulic injury.' Her family has confirmed that a criminal case has been started to look into her death.

Now, I've heard Jet Skis can be dangerous. However, I never thought they could lead to a 'genital rupture.' That doesn't sound pleasant at all. No helmet can save you from a genital rupture.

There's a lot to be scared of on a Jet Ski. What's in the water if I fall off? Could there be a shark? What if I run into somebody? Or, what happens if I run out of gas? All of those could be dangerous. However, I'd also probably rather have all of those happen than suffer a genital rupture.
