Pearl Jam Drops New Song ‘Running,’ Details on Album Listening Party

Pearl Jam has released "Running," the raucous new preview track to their upcoming new studio album Dark Matter.

The track clocks in at a tight 2:19 that immediately floors it out the gate without letting up on the gas. It's chaotic and anxious, and you'll find yourself playing the song again once it wooshes by you.

"Running" is the second track preview after the title track, which was released in February.

Dark Matter, Pearl Jam's twelfth studio album, is due out on April 19. The album is available for pre-order here. Additionally, a special edition of the album will be available on Record Store Day, which is taking place on April 20.

On top of "Running," Pearl Jam dropped some details about their upcoming worldwide album listening party.

Dubbed a "global theatrical experience," Dark Matter - One Night Only will hit over 500 theaters around the world on April 16.

Per its announcement, "Attendees will be among the very first to hear the band’s new record in select cinemas around the world. This communal experience will play Dark Matter in its entirety twice: first in a dark cinema, and then again with added visuals. "

With a new album comes a new Pearl Jam world tour. As previously reported, the tour kicks off in May with a two-night stand in Vancouver, BC and is currently set to wrap in November in Sydney, Australia. A complete list of tour dates is below.
