Florida Man Enjoys Junk Food Feast After Staying Inside Closed Walgreens

A Florida man enjoyed a junk food feast after reportedly staying inside a closed Walgreens! How did he pull it off?

It's like something out of a movie. You find yourself alone in the store after-hours and it's all yours! Except, it's really not and you're not allowed to be there! How did he get into the store unnoticed? Find out below!

This would be a dream scenario in like an Apocalypse or something. You have a full store and all of its snacks and offerings to yourself free of charge! Unfortunately, it is not the Apocalypse and it's illegal to be in the store at that time and illegal to steal and eat the products. Well, maybe this guy wasn't aware of that?

According to WESH, New Smyrna Beach Police Department Officers responded to a call to a Walgreens store on State Road 44 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida after an alarm was going off in the store around 3am. The alarm company reportedly informed police that there was a man inside the store despite it being closed since 10pm, per WESH.

Security footage from the store showed a man, later identified as Christopher Morgan, entering the stores bathroom around 9:40pm but he didn't come out until 2:42am, per WESH. Was he hiding in the bathroom for 5 hours? It sounds like it! As store employees, you have to check the bathroom (and all of the store!) before locking up and leaving. Otherwise, this could happen.

WESH reports that after being in the bathroom for almost 5 hours, Morgan treated himself to several products in the store including Tostitos spinach dip, chips, Reese's, Ghirardelli chocolate, Dr. Pepper, and a pack of Newport cigarettes. That's a full party spread! All he needed was a TV and a game to watch and he was set.

According to WESH, Morgan resisted being put into the back of a patrol car and even spit on an officer once he was inside the vehicle. He has since been arrested on a number of charges including burglary of an unoccupied structure, larceny--petit theft, resisting an officer without violence, and battery on a law enforcement officer. Don't do what he did. Go to Walgreens during normal store hours and buy your junk food like everyone else.
