A cat escaped from the vet and went up into the ceiling in a video going viral online. It sounds like it might have been a little embarrassed!

Just like we humans don’t like going to the dentist, you have to imagine cats don’t like going to the vet. This family got a couple of surprises during their trip to their vet. Not only did their cat escape, but they also learned that “Gracie” is actually “Grayson.”

It was certainly no ordinary trip to the vet that day. It sounds like they thought their cat was in heat because it was acting strangely, but the vet found out that the cat was a male and thus was not in heat. The family has since changed Gracie’s name to “Grayson” after finding out he’s a boy.

After the big reveal, it seems like the cat might have been a bit embarrassed because it escaped from the vet and climbed up the wall and into the ceiling. I wish I could do that during my visits to the doctor, it’s understandable. Check out the viral video below shared by Viral Hog on YouTube!

The cat escaped them completely. It got out of there as fast as it could. I’ve never owned a cat so I wasn’t aware that you can’t see their privates to distinguish if they are a male or a female. With dogs, it’s obvious and there’s no way you could be confused by it. Although, it does sound like the vet was suspicious and even made a comment when he first started handling the cat that it was bulky for a female. Seems like he might have known then that it was, in fact, a male cat and not a female.

Hopefully they were able to get Grayson down from the ceiling safely. Who knows how long he could have hung out up there. It would be incredibly difficult to get him down and cats are pretty famous for being quite stubborn. It’s their world and we’re just living in it. There’s no word in the video about if he came down or how long it took. They seemed surprisingly relaxed about it. I think if my pet went up into the ceiling I would be panicking. Granted, I’m also incredibly scared of heights and would be hesitant to go up there, myself. See more animals caught on camera below!
