Was a toddler drinking beer during a Texas football game? That’s what it looks like! She was drinking it down like juice!
The video taken at a University of Texas football game appears to show a young girl throwing back a Michelob ULTRA. There’s no mistaking that unique can inside of her koozie. The way she’s drinking it you would think it’s definitely not her first beer.

This young girl can’t be any older than 4-years-old but here she is seemingly chugging a beer while watching some football. Pure Texas, I guess. It looks like her mother, who’s sitting next to her, is totally oblivious to what’s going on. The girl’s reaction gives no tell that she’s drinking a beer. You’d expect her to make a face like she’s grossed out after taking a sip of what’s probably a warm beer (it is the Texas heat after all) because it doesn’t taste like her sugary juice or any children’s beverage. However, she makes no face at all! She just keeps going back for more!

Rugg’s post describes how after the video was done the mother realized what had happened when her beer was all gone. She finished the beer! Comments seem to vary in response to the video. Some pointed out that there’s no way that’s her first beer while others say the parent should be ashamed. It is really odd that she didn’t spit it out right away, right? I feel like that would be the natural reaction for any child of that age. I hated the taste of beer into my 20s! How does she just keep going back for more? It makes no sense!
I feel like if this happened at any other school it would make things more confusing but the fact that it’s happening at a Texas football game almost makes it seem normal. You wouldn’t blink an eye. Additionally, it’s a Michelob ULTRA and that’s not the most popular beer. I’m just picturing it being incredibly warm and watery on a hot day in Austin, Texas. There’s no way that could have tasted good and I cannot wrap my head around her reaction. It’s like her sippy cup! She just keeps going back for more. Her parents are going to have to keep a good eye on her going forward, it seems like she might be a handful in the future!
