A Florida father is in hot water after allegedly attacking deputies at a Walmart after his son was accused of trespassing. Now, they're both in trouble!

While it might seem good for a father to defend his son, this probably wasn't the time, and it definitely wasn't the way to go about it. If your child was in trouble with the law would you go all out to help, even if it meant you getting in trouble? Or would you use it as a learning moment so they can learn their lesson? This one clearly made the wrong choice.

This incident happened in Flagler County, Florida. Teens can be rude and disruptive. It's all part of growing up. You learn some lessons the hard way. However, it also might be true that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. That seems to be the case here!

According to FOX 35 Orlando, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office responded to multiple reports of a group of juveniles causing disturbances inside a local Walmart. All of the kids were under 16 years old and were seen riding bikes through the store while yelling and cursing at customers and even setting off some car alarms. Later, deputies found the group and recognized some of the teens and contacted their parents. However, one parent arrived at the scene and immediately confronted law enforcement, per FOX 35 Orlando. That parent has been identified as 34-year-old Jonah Harrington from Palm Coast.

According to FOX 35 Orlando, Harrington ran up to a deputy and shoved him. While two other officers tried to detain him, he reportedly struck one of the officers on the hand and resisted efforts to be put in handcuffs. He then tried to flee after ignoring commands to cooperate but was apprehended after a struggle. Sheriff Rick Staly commented, telling FOX 35 Orlando, "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. We asked parents to pick up their children because they were causing trouble, but this parent chose to attack our deputies instead." That must be one crazy home, I can't even imagine. Poor kid probably never had a chance.

FOX 35 Orlando reports that Harrington was arrested and charged with three counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and aggravated assault for resisting arrest with violence. He was taken to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he was later released on bond. You can see his mugshot provided by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office below.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
