Mustard Beer Being Served At The Texas State Fair
Would you try Mustard Beer? It’s the latest treat being served at the Texas State Fair and it’s getting a lot of attention!
When you think of fair food you probably think of delicious fried foods like corn dogs, elephant ears, and refreshing lemonade. However, things are changing and now the latest fair food being served in Texas is Mustard Beer. Do you think you would try it?
Would You Try Mustard Beer At The Texas State Fair?
I’ve never been to the Texas State Fair but I can imagine it’s a big deal. They say everything is bigger in Texas and I assume that applies to their State Fair as well. It sounds like it’s known for its famous Fletcher’s Corny Dogs. Now, Fletcher’s is introducing something new at the Texas State Fair–Mustard Beer!
According to CBS News, Fletcher’s and Martin House Brewing are bringing Mustard Beer to the fair for the very first time. How is it described? CBS News describes it as a bold and tangy brew with a mustard yellow hue. Okay, I’m not sure if I would want a beer that looks and tastes like mustard but I guess timing is everything. If I’m eating a delicious corn dog then maybe a mustard beer wouldn’t be the worst thing ever?
Interested in trying it for yourself? You can find the beverage at 3 locations at the fair–The Corny Cafe, the Big Tex stand, and the Thrillway stand, per CBS News. Martin House is a brewery that’s known around Texas for its funky beers–like the Best Maid sour pickle beer and seltzers. Even if you aren’t sure how you feel about mustard beer I think we can all agree it’s probably better than a pickle beer! Of course, the Mustard Beer won’t be the only new beverage you can enjoy at the fair this year. CBS News says there will also be Fernie’s Fruit Quenchers which is a fruity refreshment with flavors of Jarritos Mexican soda, club soda, and fresh herbs and fruit. That sounds much more up my alley! Jarritos is a favorite of mine and every flavor seems to hit the spot. Additionally, there’s a new Lay’s Potato Chip Drink which reportedly has some sweet and some heat, per CBS News. Texas is doing it big at the State Fair! This sounds awesome like a one-of-a-kind experience.
Interested in going? The Texas State Fair runs through October 20th.
