People are getting scammed on a daily basis. We talk about it on the show all the time. Lonely people thinking their celebrity crush really wants to marry them, but needs some money first. Nigerian princes asking for money and marriage. Well, one doctor in Wisconsin might have taken it to the next level. We haven’t had a scam with a faked death yet, but today might be the day.
According to reports from TMJ4 News, authorities believe that a man who went missing while kayaking actually faked his own death. He’s reported as wiping his computer, having a second passport, and having had communications with a woman in Uzbekistan. He even took out a life insurance policy around the time of his disappearance. There has been no conclusion but authorities have no located his body after a massive search of the lake where the allegedly went missing.
Once we heard about the communication with an Uzbekistan woman, we believe this guy was involved in a scam. Of course it’s all speculation from us but, we’ve seen enough of these scams to know when something is up. We agree with the authorities that this is a case of a faked death. Did this man fake his own death and travel to Uzbekistan to live out his life there?
That we don’t know. But, it would be pretty crazy. If not, where has he gone? And, we know that if he did travel there, and then find out he was scammed, there’s no coming back home after that. If you are even still living once arriving in the country where someone scammed you. We speculate that it’s possible he’s missing still, but for more nefarious reasons.
Stay vigilant out there people. The chances that the extremely attractive model from another country is real are very slim. Look out for your loved ones because these scam stories are so prevalent that it’s terrifying.
