There's a video going viral online showing what Led Zeppelin would sound like if they were a band in the '50s. Thankfully, they weren't because this is very different and certainly would have affected their legacy. Someone used Artificial Intelligence to redo Led Zeppelin's entire second album and it's as weird as you're imagining.
Here's What Led Zeppelin Would Sound Like As A '50s Band
If you've long wondered what Led Zeppelin would sound like as a '50s band then wonder no more! You can hear an example of "Ramble On" done in a '50s way below. What do you think? Do you wish they would have gotten started earlier or are you thankful for the Led Zeppelin we have and we're all familiar with? I know what I'm going with.
Weird, right? It sounds good but not like the band we're all familiar with. It would have done well at that time although I think a lot of the subject matters might not have been as acceptable or common back in the 50s as they were in the 60s and 70s.
It's really crazy what artificial intelligence is capable of. It can do anything! It's everywhere you look and some times you can't even tell if it's AI or not. There's some drama going on with that with Mariah Carey right now. People online are accusing her of sending out an AI-generated video thanking fans for listening on Spotify and they claim that it's an AI-generated video but she says it's just bad lighting. Will we ever know? Probably not. AI can make images, videos, text, and more. Thankfully, it's often detectable but as it continues to develop and get more common it's only going to improve and blend in more.
Can you imagine if more of your favorite bands played in a '50s style? It would be very weird to hear! It really makes you appreciate the bands we have and how they perform. You wouldn't want your favorite band playing music in the style of a different decade because it would sound so different! It's not the same!
Looking for more? Check out more Led Zeppelin hits done in '50s-style below. They did some popular hits like "Whole Lotta Love" and more! It's crazy to hear that it's the same lyrics just done in a different style. What do you think? Do you like it? Would you play any of these in your free time? I think I'll pass but I still think it's a cool idea.
5 Best Led Zeppelin Songs Co-Written By John Paul Jones
Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones celebrates his birthday today (January 3.) While Jimmy Page and Robert Plant get a lot of attention for writing Zeppelin’s biggest hits, Jones has his share of songwriting credits on many fan favorites.
In honor of his birthday, we look at five of the best Zeppelin songs co-written by Jones.
5. 'Trampled Under Foot'
One of the best grooves Zeppelin ever produced.
4. 'Black Dog'
Following the more mellow, acoustic Led Zeppelin III, Led Zeppelin IV brought a return to hard rock form and kicks off with this bold statement track.
3. 'Rock and Roll'
Some songs build up to the chorus, and some blast off one the first note. “Rock and Roll” is the latter.
2. 'Good Times Bad Times'
Zeppelin sure did know how to kick off an album, even on their debut!
1. 'Whole Lotta Love'
C’mon…could any other song be number one?
