New York Arsonist Tries To Torch Portable Toilet And Gets Instant Karma

A New York arsonist tried to torch a portable toilet but ended up getting some instant karma. He ended up igniting himself on fire!

That could not have been his plan. The crazy moment was captured on camera by a nearby security camera and appear to show the moment the suspect runs off with his clothes on fire after his poor attempt of lighting a portable toilet outside of a home on fire on Long Island. Now, that video is going viral online.

The viral video is a minute-long and was released by Nassau County police and shows flames erupting from the portable toilet that was placed on the lawn in front of a home on Sprucewood Drive in Levittown, New York. The video shows the New York arsonist stepping out of the burning outdoor bathroom before realizing that his own clothes were ignited. He fails to put it out and ends up running away with the bottom of his pants, or possibly his shoes, still on fire.

According to The New York Post, the Wantagh Fire Department responded and put out the fire with no injuries reported. However, the portable toilet was badly burned and the home was left with minor damage. Police are still on the lookout for the arsonist. Anyone with information on this matter is asked to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-2440-TIPS or call 911. They say all callers will remain anonymous.

Yup, that definitely backfired on him. Sounds like he's still at large so I'd be looking for a guy with burned feet. Hopefully they're able to find him and bring him to justice soon. People always seem to mess with these houses under construction for one reason or another. It might be to obtain the copper inside, steal wood, find shelter, or maybe they want to light the port-a-potty outside the home on fire. Clearly, that wasn't a bright idea. He very easily could have severely injured himself doing that! Not a great choice.

None of these would accidentally happen. They also aren't a matter of life or death. There's no ethics quiz here, or any matters of 'would you steal bread to support your family?' These crimes, and criminals, aren't straight up cringeworthy.
