TikToker Finally Learns You’re Supposed To Add Water To Condensed Soups

A TikToker finally learned you're supposed to add water to condensed soups. She's now going viral online for her realization.

Her very public realization is now being seen by the masses online and while some people are calling it incredibly embarrassing, other people are relating to her mistake saying they never knew the proper way to do it either! You know, it's right on the can! You have to add a cup of water to condensed soup, like Campbell's Condensed Chicken Noodle Soup. She must have been drinking the saltiest soup ever for years! Can you imagine how that would taste?

Either way, you aren't alone. A lot of people are just now finding out that you need to add water thanks to this video. I'm not Bobby Flay in the kitchen but even I knew you have to add water to condensed soups!

TikToker Caylie (@cayyday) is the one going viral for the realization. In the video, she says, "I was today years old knowing that you're supposed to mix this with a can of water. You don't just eat this" holding up a can of Campbell's Condensed Chicken Noodle Soup. She then shows where it says "Mix soup + 1 can of water" on the can. It's right there. She then laughs off her embarrassing mistake likely thinking about how salty it was this whole time and she never noticed.

The video has been viewed more than 600K times and has more than 15,000 likes on TikTok to go along with more than 1,800 comments. The comments section seems pretty divided with some saying they also just learned this and others saying there's no way she didn't know this before. That's usually how things go in the comments. One person said that adding the water will dilute it and will take away it's medicinal effects, likely just a personal take and I'm sure everyone has one when it comes to soup and being sick. I just keep thinking you'd have to know something wasn't right upon the very first taste. Yes, soup is salty but it's not supposed to be that salty! What do you think?
