The first trailer for Tim Robinson and Paul Rudd's comedy 'Friendship' just dropped and it is everything you'd hope. Will it be the funniest movie of the year?

The comments are in and the expectations for 'Friendship' starring Tim Robinson (I Think You Should Leave) and Paul Rudd (I Love You, Man) are incredibly high. The first trailer for the movie just came out and it has everyone itching in anticipation to see the movie. Many people commented that the trailer looks just like a sketch from Tim's popular sketch show I Think You Should Leave and they don't know if they can even believe that this is a real trailer and not just another awkward sketch. However, it's real. It's real...and it's fantastic. In the movie, Tim Robinson plays a guy, Craig, who wants to become friends with his neighbor played by Paul Rudd. He dreams of their life together and how epic and awesome it would be being buddies and best friends. However, in true Robinson fashion, things don't go as planned. Rudd's character ends the relationship which sends Craig spinning out of control. Check out the viral trailer for yourself below. What do you think?

Tim Robinson Stars In 'Friendship' With Paul Rudd

Honestly, I don't remember the last time I was this excited to see a movie, especially a comedy. I feel like we haven't been gifted a great comedy in a long time. Seriously, take a second to think about it. What was the last generationally great comedy movie? Step Brothers in 2008? Am I missing something? I think that might have been it. Maybe Bridesmaids in 2011? That's up for debate.

I Think You Should Leave has become a favorite on Netflix and you can constantly hear people quoting it in person and using it as memes online. There are so many you can't count them all. Every sketch ends up being great thanks to Tim's unique style of comedy that's now taking over. I'm a huge fan and we actually went to the same high school! There's something in the water at Clarkston High School. Tim, if you see this we certainly should work together sometime (Go Wolves). I can't wait to see this movie and to see more projects from Tim Robinson in the future. Now, we just have to wait until the movie comes out in May. It's going to be difficult to wait.

You can see some of my favorite sketches from I Think You Should Leave below.

5 Highly Anticipated Movies Coming Out In 2025

There are some big movies coming out in 2025! Which ones are you most excited about?

As 2024 comes to a close, it's time to start looking ahead. Some big movies came out in 2024 including Deadpool & Wolverine, Inside Out 2, Wicked, and Gladiator II. Those are probably some of the most memorable movies to come out this year and might be what the year is remembered for as far as blockbusters are concerned. Movies coming out in 2025 might be even bigger and more anticipated than the ones that came out in 2024--and that's really saying something.

What Are The Big Movies Coming Out In 2025?

In 2025, we'll see some outstanding originals, sequels, live-action remakes, animated movies, and more! There are some big things coming to the big screen--not to mention all the excitement coming to TV and streaming. The 5th and final season of Stranger Things is going to have us all on Netflix, but we'll have to make sure to find some time to go to the movie theater as well because you don't want to miss out on these movies. They'll certainly be the talk at the watercooler and it's important you stay in the know.

With only 5 to discuss below I'll have to name some Honorable Mentions because there are too many great movies coming out in 2025 and I'd hate to leave any unmentioned. A Minecraft Movie will be interesting to see how it can compare to Barbie and if these movies based on toys will continue to be a hit or if it was a one-time fluke. With Jason Momoa and Jack Black it's sure to bring in some money in the box office.

Thunderbolts is one of the many superhero movies coming out in 2025. Marvel has been in a bit of a dry spell lately, will this be enough to bring them out of a slump? Only time will tell. There's another superhero movie that seems to be getting more attention and we'll get to that later. There will be a new Karate Kid with Karate Kid: Legends coming out in 2025. There's also Ballerina from the world of John Wick and stars Ana de Armas and I will certainly be seeing that.

Additionally, in 2025, we're going to get a live action version of How to Train Your Dragon and those animated films are all great so I expect big things from this. There will also be a new Jurassic World movie with Jurassic World Rebirth, hopefully that can bring some juice back into the franchise. The last movie wasn't great so a good rebound is in order here for the sake of the franchise. We'll also be getting a new I Know What You Did Last Summer and Freakier Friday, too! Then, you can't forget Wicked Part 2 with Wicked: For Good coming out in November of 2025.

However, the movies I think will be biggest can be found below. Are you excited to see these movies coming out in 2025?

Disney's Snow White

It will be interesting to see the live action remake of Snow White. I've been iffy on a lot of the Disney live action remakes with seemingly none of them being better than the original. Could this finally be the one? We'll have to wait and see but I think we'll be hearing a lot about it in the new year. It hits theaters March 21st.

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning

Regardless of how you feel about Tom Cruise, you have to admit these movies are always good. It's not even about him doing his own stunts, which is cool, but they're consistently quality films. I hope they bring it to a close in a good way. I was disappointed with how the recent James Bond movies ended and would hate to see this go a similar way. The movie comes out in May.

28 Years Later

You're going to see a lot of Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the future. Not only is he Kraven The Hunter but he's also set to be the next James Bond. He'll also be starring in 28 Years Later the sequel to 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. Those were some good movies and I expect this to be great. The movie comes out June 20th.

Superman

I've never been that impressed by Superman movies. In fact, I usually feel pretty let down. It's a bit of a bummer especially when you compare it to Batman and Spider-Man which both have plenty of excellent movies made recently. Could James Gunn turn things around? I feel like Superman needs it and maybe we'll get new life into the Man Of Steel with this new movie. I certainly hope so. It comes out July 11th.

Avatar: Fire and Ash

Finally, Avatar 3 will come out in 2025. I feel like we're always waiting forever for these sequels but you can't say it's not worth the wait. Who knows what kind of visual craziness we will experience in Avatar: Fire and Ash but I'm sure it will be great. Now it's just a matter of waiting.  It comes out December 19th of 2025.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
