Douchebag Of The Day: Michigan Teen Makes Bomb Threat When Girlfriend Goes On Cruise

Being young and in love is not as easy as it sounds. You face many challenges that you didn't expect. You're still young and you don't know how to deal with situations and you might make some bad decisions based on your inexperience and hormones. It's safe to say this Michigan teen certainly made a mistake. A huge mistake at that. If your girlfriend goes on a cruise without you--it happens. Yes, it's a bummer and you wish you were there. Sure, there will be other guys on the cruise that she may talk to or flirt with. She's young, it happens. However, that doesn't mean you can make a bomb threat to stop the cruise. Now, this teenager is learning that lesson the hard way.

According to Click On Detroit, 19-year-old Joshua Lowe will be spending 8 months in jail after making a bomb threat while his girlfriend was on a cruise. That bomb threat led to Carnival Corp. having to inspect more than 1,000 rooms after the ship departed from Miami back in 2024.

Law enforcement was able to trace the bomb threat back to Lowe who admitted that he sent the message because he was upset that his girlfriend was on a cruise with her family and he had to stay behind to take care of their pets. According to Click On Detroit, Assistant US Attorney Nils Kessler said, "Anyone making a bomb threat should expect to be taken at his word. Fortunately, this particular hoax did not result in physical injury."

Can you imagine if your daughter's boyfriend did this while you were on vacation? She'd have to break up with him. There's no other option. You can't let that guy around your daughter or into your home any more! Who knows what other weird stuff he could have up his sleeve? That relationship has to be over.
