Gender Reveal Went Wrong In Ohio
We are not your gender reveal people. People on the show have had kids and no one did a gender reveal. We don't understand why people like to share them with the world when it's such a personal thing. Anyway, one family in Ohio was performing a non-traditional gender reveal that had the police getting involved.
According to 19News, "Expecting parents and their families are always looking for fun and unique ways to have a gender reveal. But one Northeast Ohio couple’s plan to reveal the sex of their child backfired in a big way when police got involved, and it was all caught on camera. This happened around 7 p.m. Sunday on Lawrence Road N.E. near Tenth in Canton. Andrew Soliday revved up his bright green muscle car and did a burnout, leaving pink smoke and then ultimately all blue smoke behind. However, just as Soliday’s car took off down the street, Canton Police spotted him. As officers turned on their sirens and flashing lights, the officers weren’t seeing pink and blue, they were seeing red. That’s when the gender reveal turned into a burnout bust."
When you watch the video, it does look like the guy is going to perform a burnout. With no context, we can see how it was misinterpreted by police. We can also see the guy's perspective that when he and the grandma were yelling it was a gender reveal that the police could have settled down.
No one was injured and the man was let off with a warning. As Dave says in the beginning, maybe it's time to wrap up the whole public, social media driven gender reveals.
