A barefoot Florida man trapped a gator in a trash can! Always know your surroundings.

If it's possible that gators could be around, it's best to know your surroundings. That way, if one pops up you might have a plan already in your mind. Do you take off? What would you use as a weapon? Where would you go? What would you hide behind? All of those would be good things to know. It's also good to know what you could use to trap or keep the gator away from you. This Florida man opted to use a garbage can which he had at his disposal--and it worked! Check out a video report shared by FOX 35 Orlando on YouTube below!

Florida Man Traps Gator With A Trash Can

According to UPI, the Florida man had to leave his Easter dinner early in a hurry so he could take care of the gator. He's known as "The Blue Collar Brawler" but his real name is Mike Dragic. He was the one who responded to this gator call in Jacksonville, Florida when she noticed one in her yard while letting her dog outside. You don't want your dog out in the yard with a gator.

A video that's going viral online shows him barefoot in shorts and a tank top using a trash can to trap the gator which is probably around 7-8 feet long. He's definitely a bad ass, that's for sure.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
