A driver dangling from a bridge in Louisville has been rescued. We got to see a glimpse of Dave's worst nightmare!

You know Dave got some serious anxiety when he read about this story. No, thank you! A truck driver had to be rescued after a crash resulted in his semi hanging over the edge of a bridge on I-65 in Louisville, Kentucky, per ABC7. It was a scary moment for anyone viewing the video, and I can't even imagine how the driver felt. Thankfully, the driver was able to call 911 where he reportedly stayed on the line for 18 minutes. It had to have been the scariest 18 minutes of his life! See a video report shared by WLKY News Louisville on YouTube below.

Driver Dangling From Bridge In Dave's Worst Nightmare

It had to have been scary because at one point the driver asked that they leave the phone recording for his family in case he doesn't make it. That would be a frightening moment where you realize there's a chance you're not making it home. I can't even imagine.

Thankfully, emergency crews had a plan. They used a rope system to lower a rescuer into the cab of the truck and then they were able to hook up the driver and lift him to safety. It's now being investigated how the driver lost control but sounds like everything will be okay. You don't want to end up dangling from a bridge like that!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
