If this was an accident then I would certainly be surprised because it definitely looks intentional! If he just happened to be in the driver's blind spot the driver would have heard a noise and stopped what they were doing, instead they just kept on going. It happened in Beaverton, Oregon and the driver of the minivan has since been arrested for their involvement in the apparent road rage incident. It happened on US Route 26 and you can check out the video for yourself that was shared by NBC News on YouTube below.
Minivan Hits Motorcyclist On Highway During Apparent Road Rage Incident
Yikes! He was hit with some serious force and when you're on a motorcycle there's not much there to protect you! The driver of the minivan has been identified as Samir Helio Pazzoto-Filho from Washington County, according to NBC Los Angeles. The Beaverton Police Department released a statement saying, "The incident appears to have stemmed from a road rage-style interaction between Pazzoto-Filho and the motorcycle rider. The motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. He has since been discharged and his resting with his family," per NBC Los Angeles.
Pazzoto-Filho is now facing several charges including attempted assault, second-degree assault, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and unlawful use of a weapon. It's rarely a minivan involved in road rage incidents I feel like. Usually they're driven by parents with kids in the car and know to avoid trouble. This time around, it's a little bit different it seems like.
