Did an inexperienced driver launch their Jeep over the Long Island Pier? That's what it looks like in a video going viral online!

It looks like something you'd see in a movie or TV show when a car chase goes wrong. The moment the silver 2008 Jeep crashed was caught on camera. It happened on Mother's Day at Brookhaven Town Marina's parking lot in Port Jefferson, per The New York Post. 17-year-old drivers aren't the most reliable on the road and problems can happen. We've all been there. Well, maybe not where this driver ended up, but something similar enough, I'm sure.

Thankfully, firefighters were able to safely remove the woman from the vehicle. She did sustain minor injuries but was taken to a local hospital and treated. The Jeep lost its bumper when the 17-year-old accidentally accelerated her SUV over a bulkhead and crashed through the guard rail, per The New York Post.

That would be scary! Especially at only 17. Gotta be careful out of the roads! Mistaking the one pedal for the other could end up being a costly mistake! It's a good thing it sounds like she's going to be alright, probably just a bit embarrassed after all of this. I'm sure her family and classmates aren't going to let this go by without comment.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
