You don't hear about stories like this very often. On Dave & Chuck The Freak, we've talked about many different ways people were caught trying to get drugs into the prison. They sneak them inside cakes, butts, and more. However, they can also use animals like cats. That's what seemingly happened here. A cat was reportedly caught trying to smuggle drugs into a prison with 236 grams of marijuana and 68 grams of heroin strapped to its back. You have to imagine it's going to be a tough task for investigators trying to get the cat to rat on who it was working with. I just don't see it happening. See video of the drug-smuggling cat below.

According to People, prison guards caught the cat while it was climbing atop a chain link fence with barbed wire. Costa Rica's Ministry Of Justice released a statement saying, "An officer stationed at one of the forts spotted the animal in the green zone and immediately raised the alarm. Thanks to the swift actions of the responding officers, the cat was caught and the packages removed, preventing them from reaching their final destination," via People.
That would be a really clever way to get drugs into the prison, I've never thought about that before. It didn't work this time but it could work in a different trial. Officials are now reviewing footage to try to trace the cat's movements to see where it came from and who it could be working with.
