Reports say a Chinese paraglider was accidentally propelled more than 8,000 metres high by an updraft and he managed to survive it. However, The Guardian reports that he has been banned from the activity for 6 months after a video of it went viral. After that happens to you, I feel like you might be okay with never doing it again. I know I would!

How did he do that? There's no oxygen! Look at how freezing he is! This is all beyond me.
The Guardian reports that Peng Yjiang started from an elevation of roughly 3,000m in the Qilian mountain range in China. However, strong winds pushed him up and up until he was nearly the height of Mount Everest! Can you imagine? Temperatures were reportedly -35C (-31F) and that's freezing!
He says he never intended to leave ground level but was in the air for more than an hour and was in radio contact with a friend, Gu Zhimin, on the ground the entire time. Sounds like he's in trouble for sharing the video. A report obtained by The Guardian says, "Gu Zhimin posted a flight video without permission, which had a bad impact. He was grounded for six months and asked to write a report to deeply reflect on the negative impact of his behaviour." His flight reportedly won't be officially counted because he wasn't registered.
