‘Buzzed Driving’: Cicada Causes Ohio Driver To Flip Car

A buzzing cicada caused an Ohio driver to flip their car! Talk about 'buzzed driving!'

Typically, when you hear about buzzed driving on the road it has something to do with drinking and driving or getting on the road after too many drinks or substances. However, that's not the only buzzed driving. There's also the buzzing of bees or cicadas that can happen while you're in the car. Personally, that's a nightmare for me. I never want to have that happen because I hate bees and will freak out if I see one--even if I'm driving. So, it can be incredibly dangerous. That's why I always keep my windows up to limit the risk of this happening. Sounds like this Ohio driver should have done the same!

According to The New York Post, the incident happened in Blue Ash, which is roughly 14 miles northeast of Cincinnati, Ohio. Sounds like the driver realized there was a bug in the car and tried to shoo it away but ended up veering off the road and crashing into a pole!

The Blue Ash Police Department took to Facebook to say, "We're all well aware that these pesky cicada don't respect personal space, including while driving." It sounds like the driver did walk away from the crash uninjured, but was probably given quite the scare.

Seems like we've heard more about cicadas this year than in other recent years. You have to be careful and don't let one into your car! As you can see, it can end up being pretty dangerous!
