How did a night of drinking in Thailand end with a spoon stuck in a guy's intestine? A wild night, that's for sure.

Thailand can be quite the party scene. You know that if you've ever been or even if you've ever seen The Hangover Part II. Things can get wild. Reports say after a night of drinking in Thailand, a 29-year-old man unknowingly swallowed a 15-centimeter spoon which got stuck there for 6 months before it was discovered and removed! How would you not feel that or know? That seems crazy! The man has been identified as Xiao Yan who went to the Zhongshan Hospital in Shanghai after fearing he had swallowed the plastic object. Turns out, the spoon was inside of him and a CT scan revealed it and it posed a serious risk of perforation which could cause internal bleeding. That would not be good!

Sounds like he thinks he used a coffee spoon to help induce vomiting after a night of heavy drinking to get himself to puke and possibly get it out of his system. That could have been when the spoon got stuck inside of him.

Thankfully, they were able to safely remove it after a 90-minute operation. It sounds like it wasn't an easy process but he should be alright! Be careful putting objects like that down your throat! If it slips out you're in trouble! Crazy that he was able to go 6 months with it still inside him without realizing the issue.

That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
