A very calm and relaxed Florida woman stopped to pet an alligator on her walk. You don't want to do that!

Don't stop your walk to pet an alligator. Never do that! This woman is insanely lucky to have come out of that with her limbs and her life. If you see an alligator by a body of water, maybe try to go a different way? Go around the alligator, take the longer route, and enjoy some extra scenery. Please, don't stop to pet the alligator. It's very unlikely to go your way. She's very lucky. Sure, it's a small alligator but they still have a fierce bite! You don't want to mess with one. Check out the viral video shared on Facebook below.

The video is captioned, "A woman was spotted giving pets to a small alligator in Tampa, Florida." Don't do this! She was way too comfortable around that gator.

Even if you're somebody who loves animals and says they always love you too, don't get too trusting or too close to a gator--or any wild animal that can possibly harm or kill you. It's not a puppy and you shouldn't treat it like one!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
