New York Man Makes 6-Figures Reporting Idling Vehicles

There's a New York man who reportedly makes 6-figures reporting idling vehicles. This could be the greatest job on earth!

A high paying job is a dream for everyone. Getting paid a lot of money to do very little or very easy work only adds to the dream. Sometimes, high paying jobs come with lots of stress and long hours. However, that doesn't appear to be the case here. A New York man says he makes 6-figures simply reporting idling vehicles in New York City. I guess it's against the law for trucks and non-city buses to idle (keeping the engine running while stationary for more than 3 minutes, per CBS Evening News) and it's rarely enforced. However, it seems like there's a way to make great money doing it!

According to CBS News, the guy making bank reporting idling vehicles goes by Streeter and he left his job in marketing to focus on this battle against idling. Seems to be paying off for him! He says he's out and about looking for idling trucks around 9 hours a day. So, he is putting his time in but it's not like it's very hard labor!

CBS News says that under the Citizens Air Complaint Program, Streeter and other people who report idlers can keep 25% of any fines which usually range from $350-$600. Not bad! Add it all up and he's able to make 6-figures a year!
