A tourist in Italy tripped and fell through a 300-year-old painting! Now, he's going viral for his embarrassing slip-up.

What's up with people damaging stuff in museums lately? Just the other week, there was the guy who sat on the crystal-covered Van Gogh chair at a museum and now a guy tripped and fell through a 300-year-old painting! It's starting to seem like tourists shouldn't be allowed anywhere near anything nice because they're going to find a way to ruin or damage it! This time, it happened at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy where a tourist was posing for a picture in front of an artwork made by Anton Domenico Gabbiani in 1712!

The painting was only at the Uffizi temporarily for an exhibition when it happened. The tourist was apprehended and formally reported to police. He faced charges of damaging cultural heritage, per The New York Post.

The painting has since been removed for repairs. Hopefully they can get it back in good condition! You'd have to feel really embarrassed if you were that tourist. That's not the rep you want to earn while abroad.

That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
