You don't want to be hit by any vehicle, and you certainly don't want to be hit by an 18-wheeler. Video shows the electrical worker working on a traffic signal in a lift truck when he gets struck by the 18-wheeler as it was passed by in the right lane. WBRZ reports the 18-wheeler was making a wide turn onto Range Avenue in Denham Springs, Louisiana when it bumped the bucket flipping the worker inside. Check out a video report shared by WBRZ on YouTube below.

East Baton Rouge Parish Director of Transportation Fred Raiford tells WBRZ, "I don't know how that truck could have made that turn without hitting one pole on one side without hitting the truck."
Thankfully, it sounds like the electrical worker only sustained minor injuries and wasn't even taken to the hospital to treat them. Sounds like they had their harness on which might have saved their life! Safety first is a good way to be!
Now, Denham Springs Police are investigating whether charges will be filed or not. Reiford reiterated to WBRZ that safety is always the number one priority for them.
