Hockey isn't for everyone, as popular streamer iShowSpeed recently learned. It's a lot harder than it looks, eh?

Canadians are known for their love of hockey. Along with maple syrup and other stuff, sure, but when you think of hockey you think of Canada. They seem to win every Gold medal and often have the best players in the world. Wayne Gretzky? Canadian. Sidney Crosby? Canadian. Connor McDavid? Canadian. You get it. iShowSpeed? American. While America has had its shining moments in the sport of hockey, including the great Miracle game against Russia. However, this is not one of those moments. iShowSpeed is going viral for his lack of skills at hockey. Check out the viral video shared by @BR_OpenIce on X (formerly Twitter) below.

Hey, what he lacks in hockey skills he makes up for in humor. He was a great sport about it all and it was highly entertaining to watch. In the end, that's what really matters, right? After failing his attempt he let out a, "I'm not Canadian, man!" which likely helped the video go viral on social media.

The video has been seen more than 540k times since it was shared on June 22nd. While some people are criticizing his hockey skills, others are coming to his defense saying it's not bad for his first time. That's true! I've definitely seen worse. Other commenters tried giving him tips on how he can do better and improve but it seems like he won't be eager to pick up a stick any time soon. Good on him for giving it a try though! It's a lot harder than it looks!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
