Ask Dave and Chuck can be a wild ride. Sometimes, people ask us silly questions. Sometimes, they ask us life-changing questions. And then sometimes, they ask us questions that we have no business answering. Like for instance, microchipping a family member who wanders off all the time
Legally speaking, we don't know. We are not guardians, caretakers, or medical professionals. We don't really have any idea if you can or should. Obviously, if the person in your life is at risk of getting lost or hurt, then there must be avenues to prevent that. We aren't really sure what they are. People have done this before, based on our research, but that still doesn't help us tell the listener what to do!
It happens sometimes. People ask us about their marriage, sex life, school, jobs, mental health, and more. We try out best, sometimes sending it over to the Lord Vader cup to decide their fate. But, we hope that you are actually reaching out to professionals in some of these instances. We are very clear that we are not professionals of any kind when it comes to major issues!
Would love a follow-up on this e-mail but we rarely get the updates. Dave loves an update but people usually ask and then carry on with their lives.
