Size matters. Only when it comes to fights and a few other things and doesn't necessarily matter in all circumstances, of course. Additionally, experience matters, that can be applied more broadly. For example, choosing to fight a former NHL enforcer who basically fought for a living on skates would be a bad decision. He has the size and the experience. You're going to be in a tough spot. So, maybe pick on someone your own size like they say. Otherwise, you could end up like this guy who got absolutely thrown around out on a Canadian golf course. Check out the viral video below. Did he have it coming?

According to The New York Post, the former NHL player in the video is Nick Tarnasky who played for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Nashville Predators, and Florida Panthers during his NHL career. Most of the internet seems to be on the enforcer's side and say the golfer had it coming. They gave him several chances and he didn't take them. Repeatedly telling a former NHL player known for fighting that he's not a tough guy is not a wise decision. He is very much a tough guy. Probably one of the toughest guys this golfer has ever come across. He seems to have started the thing by lunging at the hockey player and that's when it all appears to have gone down hill for him.
First, he was thrown into the pond. That's a 2 stroke penalty for the wet player. Then, he comes out of the water charging and gets his shirt grabbed like a traditional hockey fight and starts taking punches right to the dome. Every time the former NHL player lands a blow you can even hear him shouting out, "Bang!" like it's an old Batman cartoon with the "Bang!" and "Pow!" animations. He takes a lot of punches during the interaction.
There are many things that can be annoying on a golf course and there are many unwritten rules to follow as well. The New York Post says this happened at the Alberta Springs Golf Resort in Alberta, Canada and was started when a group of players became annoyed by the slow pace of play by the group in front of them. That can be one of the more frustrating parts of golf (when you play like I do there are many frustrations)--when the group in front of you isn't going as fast as you want to go. Sometimes, they're just slower players and take their time and other times it can be more intentional. These guys seem pretty rattled so there must have been something going on that we didn't see before the camera started recording.
There might be some consequences that come out of it. According to The New York Post, Tarnasky coaches the Reed Deer Minor Hockey's U17 team and they're now investigating the incident. However, authorities will not be investigating further it sounds like. CBC says that investigation has been concluded.
What do you think? Did the guy have it coming?
