Thai Woman Sleeps With Buddhist Monks And Then Blackmails Them With Videos

A Thai woman is in trouble after sleeping with Buddhist monks and then blackmailing them with videos. She has since been arrested.

Come to think of it, she might not be the only one in some hot water in this situation. You have to believe the monks might have some consequences as well as they're not supposed to engage in that kind of behavior. According to Daily Mail, 35-year-old Wilawan Emsawat, aka Sika Golf, from Thailand, has been accused of being in secret relationships with 13 monks (along with money laundering and receiving stolen goods). Sounds like she was able to get a lot of money after using videos and images of her encounters with senior religious figures to extort money. Daily Mail says she brought in nearly $10M!

Daily Mail says Sika Golf had 5 mobile devices that contained clips and stills of the sex acts with several monks--some of whom were wearing their traditional orange robes! The monks are now getting in trouble for their involvement in the situation, it sounds like. The monks are expected to all be disrobed in accordance with Buddhist laws.

This is now blowing up as it's not only a crazy story that you don't hear of everyday, but it's exposing a system of lies and hypocrisy among top monks, per Daily Mail.

Reports say this all started when a highly respected monk suddenly renounced his monkhood and vanished across the border into Laos. It was later revealed that he had allegedly been in a secret relationship with Sika Golf who claimed to be pregnant and demanded money from him. This is sending shockwaves throughout the community and Buddhist world and is believed to have shown the growing cracks in Thailand's religious elite, per Daily Mail.
