An Ohio man with a rare condition spent his life eating only 3 things--potatoes, rice, and corn is going viral for trying popular foods for the first time. Do you remember the first time you tried a taco?

Do you take the foods you enjoy for granted? You won't any more after learning about 24-year-old Ben Sutter from Ohio. He went most of his life without having a real meal as most of us know it. For years, his diet was strictly juice boxes called Neocate Splash which gave him the nutrients he needed to survive and was later allowed to eat 3 things: potatoes, rice, and corn. That would be a pretty boring diet! Imagine never trying a cheeseburger, pizza, or tacos. You wouldn't know what you're missing! Now, he's trying all sorts of different food thanks to him being approved for Dupixent. Take a look at him trying some new things that most of us are used to in a video shared on TikTok below.

According to People, Ben was diagnosed with eosinophilic gastroenteritis (EGE) when he was only 15 months old. The disease doesn't allow you to eat many foods and you have to follow a strict diet. By the time he was 20, he reportedly had only tried potatoes, rice, and corn as those were deemed safe for him to eat if prepared properly.

Sutter told People, "You sort of realize how much society is built around food...birthday parties and events. There's always some aspect that involves food and I think you don't really realize that until you aren't able to participate in it." We talk about stuff like this often on Dave & Chuck The Freak given Dave and Jason's allergy to peanuts.

Even trying seasonings like pepper was new for him! Can you imagine that? He kept a good perspective and is now going viral for trying all sorts of new food.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
