A Massachusetts woman was hit with a massive medical bill after a bat blew into her mouth! It happened during a trip to Arizona.

If a bat happens to land on your face, it's probably best not to scream and just keep your mouth shut--as hard as that could be. You will want to scream, but try to hold it back! According to Raw Story, it happened to Erica Kahn during a trip to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Arizona. The 33-year-old wasn't concerned about the bats she saw flying around--that is until one flew up to her and got tangled between her camera and her face, per Raw Story!

Raw Story says that when she screamed part of the bat went into her mouth for a few seconds and then flew away. She was advised to go to the hospital to star vaccinations against rabies.

She started the process and sounds like it was all going well until that bill came. Raw Story says she owed a total of $20,749 for her care across 4 facilities. She says she thought it was a mistaken when she first saw it. Sounds like after being laid off she didn't have the best insurance and that played a part in how much she owed.

Sounds like she was eventually able to negotiate the price down a little bit but still owes a lot of money. A good lesson that if you lose your job make sure to sign up for insurance right away! Don't wait until you need it to sign up for it that might cause issues with your coverage.

That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
