A Chinese teacher is going viral on social media for translating people's tattoos. If you can't read the language, you probably shouldn't get it tattooed!

Remember: tattoos are permanent. Sure, you can get them removed but it sounds like that really hurts and isn't something you want to go through. So, if you decide to get a tattoo, make sure it's something meaningful that you'll want to keep--and make sure it's spelled correctly and is the tattoo you want. If you opt to get a tattoo in a different language, double--triple--check that it has the meaning you're intending because translation apps aren't always the most accurate and you could be walking around with a tattoo that has a significantly different--or possibly offensive--meaning! It happens a lot more often than you'd think. Now, there's a Chinese teacher going viral for translating tattoos and showing the hilarious mistakes people have made. It was shared by @jessiez888 on TikTok.

This is awesome. There's no way that the person intended to get "Refrigerator" tattooed on them. They also mixed up "Cancer" the astrology sign for "cancer" the disease, it sounds like. Some of these mistakes would be horrible if you realized what it actually says. Good on her for calling them out!

This is why you should always make sure before you get the characters tattooed! Translations can be wrong and context sometimes matters! You don't want to end up in one of her videos.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
