Florida Middle School Teacher Gets DUI On 2nd Day Of School

A Florida middle school teacher is in trouble after getting drunk between classes and crashing in the parking lot. It happened in the middle of the day on the 2nd day of school!

Going back to school isn't exciting for everyone. Yes, some parents might be excited about it because they finally get the kids out of the house and can have some time to themselves. However, the kids aren't often very excited about their summer coming to an end. Clearly, teachers aren't always stoked about it either. A middle school teacher in Spring Hill, Florida is now in trouble after drinking between classes and getting a DUI on the 2nd day of school! It happened at the Explorer K-8 school last week.

FOX 13 News reports that deputies with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office went to the school after receiving a call that a teacher crashed into a fence in the rear parking lot of the school. The school resource deputy was reportedly first on scene and found Philip Scire unconscious behind the wheel with the vehicle still in gear. Single-severe alcohol bottles were also visible in the vehicle.

FOX 13 News reports that Scire declined to provide a blood sample and was charged with 1 count of driving under the influence once cleared by the hospital. He has a previous DUI conviction back in 2014. This was just the 2nd day of school! This is not what you want to hear your kid's teachers are doing between classes. Hopefully this will be the wake up call he needed to get right and get his life back on track.
