A Washington woman was arrested for speeding on her way to pay a previous speeding ticket. Sounds like she didn't learn her lesson the first time.

Sometimes, it just takes one ticket and fine for you to learn your lesson when it comes to speeding. It can be expensive! It can be scary and intimidating getting pulled over. Nobody wants that! So, after you get that speeding ticket some people change their ways and start abiding by the speed limit. However, not everyone. This 21-year-old woman in Washington got another speeding ticket on her way to pay her previous one!

According to Daily Fly, an officer with the Kennewick Police Department observed a sedan illegally passing another vehicle going 74 miles per hour in a 35 zone. The driver was identified as 21-year-old Jasmin Hernandez. She was pulled over and arrested for reckless driving.

After being pulled over, Daily Fly reports that Hernandez admitted she was on her way to the courthouse to pay for a speeding ticket she received 17 days earlier. Reckless driving wasn't the only thing she got in trouble for, she was also cited for driving without insurance and operating a vehicle without a valid license, per Daily Fly.

I have a feeling this won't be the last speeding ticket she gets. Getting 2 within 3 weeks at 21 is a sign that she's probably just that kind of driver. Better save up for those future speeding tickets!

That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
