Umm...is putting ice in your beer a new popular trend? That's what it looks like and not everyone is on board.

Have you ever put ice in your beer? I think we can all agree that beer is best cold but would you actually put ice in it? There are frothy mugs, nitro cold beer, and more that help keep your beer cold so you don't have to use ice. Additionally, you can drink your beer fast so you consume it while it's cold and before it gets warm. However, that's not good enough for some people who are now opting to put ice in their beer to keep it cold. Aren't they worried about the ice melting and watering it down? Light beers are already watery enough!

We've talked about some odd food trends on Dave & Chuck The Freak and most of them are overcomplicated and combine 2 things that aren't meant to be enjoyed together. This time is different. It's very simple--just adding ice. But the impact can be huge! Once that ice melts it's going to change the taste!

Some people are enjoying it and others are being very judgmental about it. According to The New York Post, 44% of respondents in a survey consider people who frost their lager to be uneducated. You think it's bad to do with beer? Wait until you find out some people are adding ice to their wine! What?

Are you someone who does this? I think it would change the taste too much and I'd rather just drink the beer while it's cold.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
