Delivery driver arrested after alleged peeping incident
A delivery driver in Nevada was arrested over an alleged peeping incident. Sometimes, even contactless delivery can be an issue!
When you ask for contactless delivery, you expect the delivery driver to simply leave the food at your door. It's really simple and easy. They can leave the food and get on to their next delivery and you don't have to deal with the awkwardness of the exchange. However, just because the delivery is contactless doesn't mean there can't be issues. They could stick around and look through your windows! You don't want that happening. I'm not sure if this was supposed to be a contactless delivery or what was expected, but the customer certainly didn't expect this to happen!
Delivery Driver In Nevada Arrested For Alleged Peeping Incident
According to KOLO-TV, deputies with the Washoe County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about a reported peeing incident at a home in Spanish Springs. The caller claimed the man had stepped off the walkway and looked into a bedroom window of the home. KOLO-TV says the suspect appeared to have a cell phone in his hands during the incident. Sounds like he might have been hoping to record or get a picture of something. You don't want your delivery driver looking through windows or going off your designated pathway.
KOLO-TV says the suspect was later identified as 32-year-old Jason Ebel of Sun Valley. He admitted to looking through the window but denied any inappropriate intent. He's been arrested and charged with peering through a window with a camera which is a gross misdemeanor. There's no word in the report which delivery service he was working for but it was confirmed he's a delivery driver.
You can't do that and you can't expect to get away with it these days. Cameras are everywhere, it seems like a majority of homes these days have a Ring camera or some sort of security camera--and for good reason!
