The Idaho man who breaks records for a living just earned a new world record. He took 96 wet sponges to the face in 60 seconds!

Some people will do anything for attention and it seems like David "Record Breaker" Rush might be that kind of guy. With a nickname like that? C'mon. He just set another world record, one of his many, by taking 96 wet sponges to the face. Very interesting record. Part of me feels like not everything has to be a record. Are there really people out there who care about who can take the most wet sponges to the face? We're really just making up any record at this point--but if it's on video and looks goofy I guess I'll take it. Thankfully, this does. Check out the viral video of Record Breaker Rush and Jonathan "Hollywood" Hannon taking down their 47th joint Guinness World Record title below. Two ridiculous nicknames here.

It's funny to watch but some people just seem to have too much time on their hands. The world record for fastest time to run a mile? Cool! World record for tallest human on earth? Cool! Longest fingernails? Interesting! Most wet sponges to the face? Not as cool!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
