Did you know that Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World has had different colors and overlays over the years? It's important to keep up with the changes and to present a fresh and inspired look! During the company's recent Destination D23 event, Imagineers held a panel called "Beyond the Spires: An Insider Look at Disney Castles." During that time, they talked about the different looks and colors that have been on the castle before. Now, they say a new color palette is on the way! A representative wrote on the Disney Parks Blog, "The updated paint will feature grays, creams, blues and touches of gold aiming to enhance the castle's architecture."

An official timelines for the changes hasn't been revealed but it still has people online talking. Some commenters seem excited about the new look while others fear change and like it the way it currently is. That's how it always seems to go. I'm sure we'll hardly be able to notice! It's not like they're knocking the castle down for a modern California craftsman.
A lot goes into Cinderella Castle looking the way it does. People says that the park uses a special sheen material to make it feel more lifelike. The paint also undergoes accelerated UV and weather testing to make sure it looks good in the Florida sun for years to come.
In addition to the new color palette coming to Cinderella Castle, it was also announced that another animatronic figure is coming to Florida like the one in California. Read more about the coming changes from People here.
