This is a very unique story and you don't hear about stuff like this very often. A British tourist in Thailand was reportedly shot during a road rage incident and then the shooter took the injured tourist to the hospital and fled the scene before the police arrived. Sounds like he might have had a little bit of regret for his overreaction. Thailand is different from the United States in many ways from the customs, food, and people--but is similar in at least one way: road rage incidents are common.

The incident happened outside of a hotel in Mae Hong Son. Mirror reports that the 25-year-old British tourist was allegedly shot in a road rage incident by 40-year-old Kitinan Pantarak. Mirror says Pantarak dropped the injured tourist off at the hospital before fleeing before police arrived. It sounds like the tourist's motorbike almost hit Pantarak who was also riding on a motorbike. That's when he reportedly pulled out a gun and shot the British man in the arm.
Pantarak was later caught and arrested at his own. The British tourist is now safely recovering from the gunshot wound. Police Colonel Phasawin Kaewtai tells Mirror, "We received a report that a British man had been shot with a firearm and was injured. Officers and investigators went to the scene and found that the British man had already been taken to Pai Hospital. He had sustained an injury to his arm. He was staying at a rented room, not as a guest at the Yoma Hotel." Surveillance footage from outside of the hotel showed an altercation between the 2 motorbike riders. Reports believe that the tourist had previously bought weed off the shooter and had owed him money, per Mirror.
Mirror says the suspect has been charged with attempted murder despite the tourist saying it was an accident and not wanting to escalate things. No matter where you are, be careful of road rage incidents and just keep your cool!
