Oregon Man Found Secretly Living In Crawl Space Of Condo Complex

An Oregon man was found secretly living in a crawl space of a condo complex. This happens more frequently than you'd think!

There have been people found living in attacks, basements, and now we have a story involving an Oregon man found living in the crawl space of a condo complex. Always make sure you check every inch of your dwelling in case there's someone secretly living there! You don't want to come across your unexpected roommate one day. It turns out, 40-year-old Beniamin Bucur had been living there for an "extended period of time," per ABC 7. See a video report shared by ABC 7 on YouTube below.

After being discovered, Bucur was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and unlawful possession of meth, per NBC News. He was found at a condo complex in Happy Valley, Oregon which is roughly 16 miles outside of Portland. A witness had reported seeing a man who wasn't known to live in the complex park his car and walk to the back of one of the buildings, per reports. That witness also noticed the door to the crawl space was open and there was light coming from inside.

The sheriff's office tells NBC News, "He had taken significant steps to improve the conditions of the crawl space and was obviously living inside. Deputies observed a bed, lights, chargers, TVs, and other electronics plugged into the power of the house. Deputies estimate he had been living there for an extended period of time."

A pipe that tested positive for methamphetamine was also found in the space. It's unknown how long he was living there exactly. He was booked into the Clackamas County Jail. It would be so scary to find out someone was doing this where you lived, even if they did turn it into a nice little space for themselves.
