You never expect to run face-to-face into a bear while you're in the woods. Dogs don't expect it either. The K-9 named Gator, who works with the Volusia Sheriff's Office, and his handler were searching through the woods for an aggravated battery suspect when it happened, per UPI. The Sheriff's Office took to social media to say, "He found a hidden forest dweller instead: His first bear." Check out the moment it happened in a video shared by CBS 12 News (WPEC) below.

That was an incredibly close call! Another video was taken from an aerial view that shows the bear and dog running into each other. That's way to close for comfort.
Thankfully, all parties were able to walk away from the encounter unharmed. Now they all have a story to share for the rest of their lives. Be careful going through the woods! You never know what you might run into out there.
