A guy is going viral online for hiring a mariachi band to play while his ex moves out of their shared dwelling. Fair play or is it adding insult to injury?

Some say revenge is a dish best served cold. Apparently, that's incorrect and the best way to get revenge on your cheating partner is actually to hire a mariachi band to play while they pack up their stuff and move out of your shared place. It has to be an incredibly emotional time and having a mariachi band playing would probably kill any sort of sentimental move. Did the cheating partner deserve it? Or is it an overly petty move from the scorned ex? See the viral video shared by @zachary.w on TikTok below.

That's a clever way to get back at your ex, as long as you don't mind the sound of mariachi music. There is a chance it could backfire by annoying you as well as your partner. However, I think it's a funny way to mess with someone who broke your heart and it's perfectly legal. You could get in trouble for acts like keying their car and stuff and this is all in good fun and doesn't appear to break any laws.

According to The New York Post, the mariachi guy is named Luis and he's a NASA retiree who moonlights playing ukulele, trumpet, and singing in his classical outfit consisting of an oversized sombrero, ornate jacket, and matching pants. Luis is seen in the video playing loudly and following the ex as he puts his stuff in the U-Haul truck. Meanwhile, the ex who hired him and was allegedly cheated on seems to be enjoying some champagne while it all unfolds in front of him.

While many commenters appreciate the creativity and unique way to get back at the cheating ex, not everyone is on his side. Some people are saying it's incredibly petty and annoying. It's already hard enough breaking up without filming it for all the world to see and point out the toxicity of his actions. Again, others say that he cheated and got what was coming to him. What do you think? Is this fair or is it too petty?

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
