Video of a Russian cop making a guy crawl on all-fours while shouting, "I'm a Tiger!" is going viral online. I'm not sure if you're allowed to do that?

Of course, things are different in Russia. I'm not sure if this is allowed or if it's all a part of their strange legal system. I can't make sense of a lot of things they do over there. CCTV video shows the cop, Dmitry Khokhlov, appearing to force a drunk man, identified as Sergei Yuzhakov, onto all-fours and making him walk around shouting, "I am a Tiger!," per Daily Star. The video has been going viral and has started a debate over whether or not what he did was called for and appropriate. Daily Star reports that Yuzhakov was arrested in November 2023 for drug distribution allegedly. While he was detained is when it all reportedly happened. Not only was he forced to walk on all-fours but he was also beaten with a belt as the officer tried to get a confession and the password to his laptop, per Daily Star.

The officer claims Yuzhakov tried to escape from police and allegedly performed the exercises himself because he was intoxicated with drugs and wanted to sober up faster, per Daily Star. Khokhlov was reportedly fired December 2023 and Yuzhakov has since been convicted on drug charges but the case into the officer's potential abuse remains ongoing.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
