Seriously! Before this cheating scandal have you heard about the World Stone Skimming Championships? In a way this is great for the games because people are finally finding out about it. However, on the flips side, you don't want a cheating scandal to be all they know about your sport. Dexerto reports that some competitors were found to be using "suspiciously circular" stones. I understand how that could give them an advantage.

If you've ever had a stone near a lake or pond there's a high chance that you tried to skip that stone. Sometimes, if you do it right, it can be one of the coolest things ever! It would be cool to develop skills doing it. Yes, I'd love to participate in the World Stone Skimming Championships.
The championship organizer, Dr. Kyle Matthews, tells BBC News that offenders held their hands up and ultimately apologized for cheating, per Dexerto. The event was won by Jonathan Jennings, an American. He skimmed his stones a total of 177m, per Dexerto.
The big problem with the cheating? The event is held annually to raise money for local causes. Don't cheat for charity!
